Synapse offers server-level protection against spam and phishing

Cloudmark Server Edition blocks the spam and phishing attacks within 20 seconds to three minutes of attack origin, delivering 98% accuracy

Friday, October 21, 2005

Synapse Communications, the national partner for Cloudmark Inc, a vendor in secure messaging from desktop to gateway, announced the availability of Cloudmark Server Edition (CSE) anti-spam and anti-phishing solution for Microsoft Exchange environments. CSE blocks the spam and phishing attacks within 20 seconds to three minutes of attack origin, delivering 98% accuracy, thereby enabling employees to focus only on emails they need.

Said Shamit Khemka, CEO, Synapse Communications, "Spam is becoming a serious network efficiency and security concern. With Cloudmark's real-time anti-spam technology, our customers now have maintenance-free solution to help keep spam and other messaging threat traffic off their networks so that company resources can be more strategically aligned."

CSE requires no configuration, no Exchange reboot or client-side software. It installs on an existing server and with its low fingerprint overhead, it preserves valuable exchange resources for other tasks. Besides spam and phishing it also detects many viruses and spy ware in real-time thereby complimenting an organization's current defenses. It also blocks spam and phishing attacks from reaching mobile devices including Blackberry and Palm devices.
