“We are going to do a partner recruitment exercise in every region since we are looking at expanding in the consumer segment aggressively”

Amit Nath
Country Manager, Trend Micro

One area that has not featured on Trend Micro's target vertical is the consumer segment. But seeing the opportunities in this space the vendor is planning to carry out partner recruitment exercise in six cities in North including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The company is looking at recruiting close to 400 partners across various B and C-class cities.

While in Trend Micro's AffinityOne Partner category that caters to its enterprise customers, the company has as many as six partners on board, in the AffinityPlus category (looks into the requirements of both enterprise and SMB customer) there are about 15 to 20 partners. However, it is the Affinity space that caters to the consumer vertical for which the company will be appointing partners aggressively.

Amit Nath, Country Manager, Trend Micro stated, “We are going to do a partner recruitment exercise in every region since Trend Micro is now looking at expanding in the consumer segment aggressively. In addition, the company will also carry out training sessions on the products while extending value proposition simultaneously for our partners.”
