Gurgaon to get local IT association?

Channel partners in Gurgaon are uniting to form a local association in order to resolve matters pertaining to IT trade in the region. The association, which is likely to come into effect by the end of June, will be called Gurgaon Information Technology Association (GITA).

Citing the reasons behind formulating a local body of computer dealers, Sanjay Jain, CEO, PG Microsystems mentioned, “We have been thinking on the lines of forming an association for quite some time, in view of increasing issues with vendors and to encourage healthy trade in the region.”

Not very keen to have a local association, Parminder Singh Chawala, CEO, MM9 Information Technology shared, “Prior to this some efforts were made by a few dealers but it did not materialize in view of lack of participation. One needs to keep aside personal motives and garner enough funds to run an association. Besides, a stronger body in the form of PCAIT in Delhi is already taking up our cause and hence I would keep myself at bay with any local association, if it ever comes into existence.”
