Dealers ban Rashi

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

One of the major decisions taken during the meeting was to ban Rashi Peripherals in the area. Not only are dealers banning Rashi, they are also demanding the transfer of Pallav Surai, Branch-in-Charge, Rashi Peripherals, on grounds of misbehavior with the local dealers.

“Out of 100 dealers who attended the meeting, 70 percent of the attendees voted in favor of banning Rashi,” said Agarwal of Computer Land.

“Henceforward, until Pallav Surai is transferred, we will not deal with Rashi, and will not be buying any material with Rashi's stamp on it. We will also be reaching out to the vendors asking them to arrange for alternative supply of the materials,” Agarwal added.

A week back, dealers had sent a letter to Gopal Pansari, Head-East, Rashi Peripherals stating their grievances but there was no reply to their communication.

When contacted, Surai, Branch-in-Charge, Rashi Peripherals, refused to comment. However, re-enforcing that Surai would continue in his position, Pansari said, “Pallav is there to stay. The demand is not ethical as far as ethical business practice is concerned. If any dealer in the region has any issues related to business, we are aways open to discuss the same. However, nobody has the right to interfere in the administrative operations of any company and the decision over personnel appointment rests with the company only and not with any individual.”
