Bangalore-based Frontier Business System has entered a new division to offer virtualization solutions. S Arunachalam, Business Head-Virtualization and Application Delivery Solutions, Frontier Business Systems said, "As per IDC's prediction, the market for virtualization in India is said to be huge and growing. In developed countries, 95 percent of virtualization market has already flourished, but it's different in case of India."

He shared that Frontier had done its groundwork for almost six to seven months in this space. "We have invested nearly $500,000 in the virtualization division for various certification and marketing purposes. The virtual infrastructure lab in Bangalore is yet another instance of our dedication, where a customer can test our services," Arunachalam claimed.

The overall market size for virtualization is said to be Rs 2.2 billion in 2008, and by 2010, it would be a Rs 4 billion market, he informed.

The company's offering includes virtualization solutions ranging from desktops to data centers. "We are associated with Citrix for server, application, desktop and network virtualization. Apart from this, we have also collaborated with ThinPrint, a German company to provide solutions for print virtualization," said Arunachalam.
