Embarcadero Technologies has announced its plans to expand its presence in India by signing a distribution agreement with Mumbai-based Softcell Technologies, which will offer
the complete range of Embarcadero's cross-platform database management products including ER/Studio, EA/Studio, DBArtisan, Rapid SQL, change manager and DSAuditor.

In an effort to grow its business by offering more end-to-end solutions, Softcell sees this distribution agreement as an opportunity to strengthen its presence in the enterprise and mid-market corporate segment. “We view Embarcadero's market strength as something that we can build upon, given the current business environment,” said Rahul Ursekar, National Manager-Sales, Softcell Technologies.

Recently, Embarcadero announced its international expansion plans, highlighting India as one of the key developing economies it is targeting for growth. Michael Lohmann, Director-APAC, Embarcadero said, “This partnership with Softcell is indicative of the booming database market. Our model-driven approach ensures that the data architects and business users can collaborate effectively through clear documentation and common business definitions that can provide significant competitive advantages.”
