Intex Technologies announced the launch of Intex “Power Pro” range of digital Home UPS and batteries, which brings power protection to all electronic equipments in a home including the PC. Starting October 2006, six models of Power Pro digital Home UPS and two models of batteries have initially been introduced in northern and eastern India to cater the needs of power supply and back up. These six models belong to two series- Classic (Quasi Square Wave) and Fusion (Pure Sine Wave) consisting of 600 VA, 800VA and 1400VA configurations. The two models of batteries include ITX 150 AH and ITX150 Tubular. Intex is also offering optional trolleys, which a user could buy to house the Home UPS battery set.

The company has introduced digital technology, micro controller based design with smart and aesthetic looks to excel this product in quality and performance. Capable of running on both low (up to 120V) and high voltage (up to 260 V), Intex' Power Pro digital Home UPS could run not only home equipments and a PC through a changeover switch during power cut but can also be used for providing electricity backup to sophisticated hospital equipments and labs. On an assured warranty of 24 months, both the series of this Home UPS have MOP ranging from Rs 4700 to Rs 8500. The package of home UPS, battery and trolley is available at an MOP ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 17,000 depending on the number of batteries and power configurations.
