CyberMedia, South Asia's largest specialty media house, will launch
Voice&Data Connect, a magazine for the telecom channels space in December.
Voice&Data Connect will be a tabloid format fortnightly, covering Broadband,
fixed-line, mobile, strategic and regulatory news for the telecom channel
partners. It would reach out to the telecom channels marketplace-the
distributors, dealers, retailers, resellers, service providers, mobile
manufacturers and broadband providers.
Pradeep Gupta, Chairman and MD, CyberMedia commented, “India is the
second largest mobile handset market with over 100 million mobile subscribers,
48 million fixed line subscribers and nine lakh broadband subscribers. However,
there is no single relevant media to meet the information needs of the telecom
channels. CyberMedia being the leading specialty media house has always taken
the initiative in addressing the needs of such segments and we are leaders in
the IT and telecom media space, hence a clear expertise in launching such a
publication.” The brand name Voice&Data Connect is a logical extension of
Voice&Data, the CyberMedia monthly magazine for the telecom industry and
large communication users.
Asim Raina would be the Editor and Zia Askari the Assistant Editor of
Voice&Data Connect. Asim Raina said , “The content would be a mix of
national and regional content with up to date breaking news stories, to keep
abreast of possible business opportunities in the region. There would be a focus
on regulatory changes in each individual region, product launches, reviews,
trends and more.” The 36 page Voice&Data Connect would have an initial
print run of 30,000 and be priced at Rs 15 per copy.
