Audio Visual and Environment Control solutions provider Actis Technologies Pvt Ltd has opened its regional office in Kolkata as part of its plans to grow in East India.

According to a statement released here, the company also announced the appointment of Monish Chakraborty as its new Channel Sales Manager for Kolkata.

Actis business expansion plan in East India is the resultant of a spectacular year in business. The company currently has 500 partners across India. It plans to appoint 50 channel partners in the region within one year of commencing operations in eastern India.

Abhimanyu Gupta, Director, Actis, commenting on the expansion plan said, “The market in East India is fast growing especially with the entrance of multinationals and IT and ITeS companies. The latest expansion is in line with the strategic focus we are taking to meet the growing business. To drive this growth further we will appoint specialized dealers and will introduce the latest and high end technology products catering to the demand of today's corporates.”

Chakraborty will spearhead business development in the region. He has experience in the channel sales segment, which spans over a period of 17 years with reputed organizations in West Bengal.
