Cyberoam partners Kaspersky Lab to integrate AV and anti-spam

Friday, June 30, 2006

Cyberoam, the provider of identity-based security appliances, has teamed up with Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, to fully integrate its anti-virus and anti-spam engines with Cyberoam - the Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution.
“Kaspersky Lab has proven expertise in anti-virus and anti-spam solutions with rapid response to the newest threats and the highest virus and spyware detection rates,” said Harish Chib, VP-Marketing, Elitecore Technologies, vendor of Cyberoam. “Additionally, our OEM agreement with Kaspersky Lab enabled us to offer anti-virus and anti-spam technologies that match the high levels of granularity of Cyberoam UTM features. This makes these Kaspersky Lab solutions perfect complements to our identity-based UTM,” he added.

Kaspersky Lab is one of the key partners of IMPACT (the world's first international partnership dedicated to combating terrorist activities in the area of information and communication technologies), an active member of AVIEN (an international body which shares information about new viruses) and the recipient of numerous certificates from the world's leading independent research centers such as the West Coast Labs, the International Computer Security Association (ICSA) and many others

“Technological cooperation with providers of security solutions is one of the key components of Kaspersky Lab's business strategy. The company offers the most comprehensive and up-to-date technological developments capable of withstanding the whole spectrum of modern electronic threats including viruses, hacker attacks and spam. We are certain that the integration of Kaspersky Lab's advanced technologies into the Cyberoam UTM solution will substantially increase the level of protection,” said Vitaly Bezrodnykh, Business Development Director, Kaspersky Lab.
