According to Shivam Arora, Business Manager- Infotech Solutions and Services, 3D Networks, "The partnership is a very strategic one for us, given that Fortinet is a well known brand in the market. Since we are already present in the voice and data space, signing up with a company like Fortinet, which is into the security space will give our customers value-addition both in terms of products as well as services." As regards the distribution strategy, 3D networks would bank on Ingram Micro, which incidentally is the national distributor for Fortinet's range of products.

Commenting on the association, Vishak Raman, Country Manager, Fortinet, said, "We believe that the relationship with 3D Networks will help us tap into additional business opportunities and reach out to more number of customers in the security space. With a distributor like Ingram Micro and a simple channel strategy that we have adopted, it should not be difficult for us to provide our complete product portfolio to the new customers."

Meanwhile Fortinet has announced a major firmware upgrade for its family of FortiGate and FortiManager systems that enhance customers' security posture and ease the means by which they deploy and manage network security.
