Rashi managers get a vacation

Friday, May 06, 2005

Key managers and the marketing team of Mumbai-based national distributor, Rashi Peripherals were on a leisure-cum-business review meet at Malaysia with their spouse and kids for five days from April 15, 2005. The usually bustling office wore a empty look with very little transactions happening during those days.

The five-day vacation could have created a loss of business for Rashi. However, Rajesh Goenka, Divisional Head, said that the losses were negligible. "We have to look at the brighter side of this trip, that our team was motivated and charged up by the time we came back. We can expect increased productivity on our return,  for the business that got hampered on those days," he added.

Rashi Peripherals is one of the very few distributors in India, which has given a break to its active routine to motivate its key managers and sales team. Last year, Rashi had taken its employees to Mauritius for this same review meet. But this time, they included family members for the trip. Managers from all its branches and key marketing personnel along with their spouse and kids total to around 65 members.

The first three days of the Annual Business Review Meet, which started on April 15, 2005 were devoted only for fun and leisure. The next two days will focussed on serious business, which included discussion on the growth path for the company, focus areas, target settings, group learning ctivity and other interactive sessions.
