G-10 Computer Dealers Association, which held its 4th Annual General Body Meeting on September 1, 2004 announced that for the next year it intends to increase its membership count to 250 from the existing 175 members. Nearly 200 channel players besides the office bearers and the committee members of G-10 attended the AGM. Tamil Nadu Police DIG - CBCID (SIP) K Nandabalan was the chief guest at the AGM.

Delineating on its key activities to be taken up in the current year, G-10 secretary Rajender Kamdar said that the association would endeavor towards having 250 members before the next AGM. Secondly, the association will hold seminars to educate the channel on various issues of their concern, like the new tax regime (VAT). "Our association had for the last few years played a very low key role as we were working towards establishing a proper infrastructure and then move ahead. Now having established that we intend to add more members into our association," said Kamdar. 

President of the association Pawan Sethia stressed the fact that they will make G-10 not only strong in the state but at the national level as well. G-10, which is already a member of NACIT is planning to affiliate with other associations. "In India the consumable market stands at Rs 15,000 crore. If we design a proper focus we can capture a major share of this market, by doing so our successors will not criticize us but compliment us for our future planning," remarked G-10 director TS Mani.

Pursuant to a discussion as to what is ailing the channel market and what changes could be brought up, the members suggested that the association should alienate any of its members found to be following unethical practice in business. Instead they should not be protected on the condition that the person happens to be their family member or friend.
