Trifin to launch its own PC brand

The company is also looking at expanding its reach and is planning to open offices in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai/Bangalore

Friday, September 03, 2004

Delhi-based Trifin Information Technology is all set to roll out its own PC brand by September end. "We are diversifying into end user engagement and our own PC brand is part of this customer strategy," says Ashish Agarwal, MD, Trifin. The company is also looking at expanding its reach and is planning to open offices in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai/Bangalore.

Trifin is getting aggressive on retailing, and is converting its present office at Nehru Place into a retail outlet. It will move into another office shortly. "Our focus this year is going to be to slice our entire business operations into separate verticals. While distribution and sub distribution will still occupy a major chunk of our operations, retailing is one of the other three verticals we are looking at," explains Ashish.

To ramp up its scale of operations, Trifin will have a centralized office where all divisions can coordinate with each other. It is also in the process of implementing ERP and CRM solutions to manage its backend operations effectively.

As part of its retail strategy, Trifin is also looking at investing in partner retail outlets to position its products effectively.

Solution providing is another area where the company is trying to get a foothold. "We have been into solution providing for  over a year but will ramp up our operations this fiscal," adds Ashish. Government bidding and large enterprise projects will be the key targets for solutions business.
