Allied CNT Solutions, a joint venture between Allied Digital and Srilanka-based Ceylinco Networking Technologies, has signed up two new security products for the Indian market.

The company has tied-up with Stonesoft Corporation as an exclusive distributor for its Firewall appliances called StoneGate. Stonesoft is a worldwide company focused on enterprise-level network protection and business continuity assurance. The company has also tied up with Secure Associates for its security infrastructure monitoring and management  solution called MindStorm.

"The new alliances will help Allied CNT broaden its expertise in providing end-to-end security solutions for enterprises of any size," says Bimal Raj, CEO, Allied CNT.

Allied CNT has been providing firewall solution from Check Point. However, addition of StoneGate will help the company in  providing its customers with an option in certain customer segments.

The StoneGate security appliance product family consists of four different gateway devices, all positioned to perform corporate network security tasks in distributed security architecture. Depending on the customer needs, appliances can be deployed as a firewall/VPN or as a VPN-only solution. All devices are managed with the StoneGate Management Center, which is provided free.

In the security infrastructure management solutions, MindStorm is designed for enterprise customers to centrally monitor and manage their security infrastructure. "MindStorm correlates logs and events from disparate devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, operating systems and routers, and transform those data into useful information," says Wilson Leung, Regional Security Consultant, Secure Associates.

According to Wilson, automatic categorization and prioritization of correlated events help security administrator to focus on high-prioritized security incidents only. This allows corporations to make security response more effectively and efficiently.
