Tech Pacific's annual congregation of vendors and partners under the banner 'Fortune 100' was held at Bangkok from October 2-3 and saw the participation of over 270 partners. The distributor has a channel network of over 6,000 partners. Addressing the opening session of the event, K Jaishanker, CEO of Tech Pac India outlined the purpose of the event, "For us, it is an opportunity to share our performance and roadmap with business partners. Vendors would be able to meet partners from upcountry locations and outline their roadmap. Partners would benefit from the technology sessions and marketing
initiatives undertaken by players."

In light of the tough time seen by the industry, Tech Pacific kept "Value, Focus, Growth" as the theme of the event. The conference had three parallel tracks: solutions, upcountry and traditional track. Each track had a representative participation from the channel community.

Top IT vendors like Sun, IBM, Cisco, HP, Symantec, CA, Citrix, AMD, Kobian, Epson, APC, Iomega, TVSE, Microsoft, Targus, Palm, Samsung, 3 Com and CA. All of them communicated their plans and strategies to a focussed group of resellers. The solutions track saw the presentation of white papers on security, server consolidation, edge computing, application deployment, business continuity, disaster recovery, IP telephony, etc. Some 100 resellers attended the upcountry track from 47 C and D category towns. Tech Pac's focus of this track was to understand the challenges of this growth segment and provide the necessary business enablers.

This also gave vendors a rare opportunity to meet and interact with the partners from smaller places. The traditional track was targeted at the sub-distribution partners with presentations on new growth opportunities and promotional offers by vendors such as HP, Samsung, Epson, AMD, Kobian and Iomega.
