UPCOMING IT PARKS IN METROS AND MINI-METROS
- CHENNAI: The 5,51,400 Millennia IT Park is expected to come up on
the IT highway by the end of 2005. It is being constructed by Bangalore-based
Millennia Realtors. Another 4,82,10 sq ft International IT Park (otherwise
known as Tidel Park II) is being constructed by Singapore-based Ascendas
along with Tamil Nadu Industrial Corporation. It is expected to open by May
2005.
- PONDICHERRY: Software Technology Park is expected to come up soon
in Kalapet. It is being built in association with Software technology Park.
- COIMBATORE: The Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) is
promoting an IT park that will be inaugurated in June 2005.
- MUMBAI/PUNE: 25 new privately constructed IT parks are expected to
come up in these two cities alone.
- ANDHRA PRADESH: Two new IT parks expected to come up in the state,
with one in Hyderabad. These will be spread across six acres and 1.75 acres
respectively and is promoted by LTIAL, a joint venture between L&T
Infocity and Ascendas.
- WEST BENGAL: A biotech and agricultural park is likely to come up
in the state at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
