The products that were added to Patriot's portfolio during Computex 2009 were
targeted at different verticals like home, gaming and overclockers to name a
few.
The company in particular has strengthened its fold in the memory segment
with the launch of the new Viper II Extreme Performance DDR3 memory modules for
Intel Core i7 platforms.
The new Viper II series makes use of an innovative heat-shield cooling
solution to more effectively dissipate heat produced by the high-speed memory,
which offers optimal stability and performance.
“The next-generation Viper II technology is designed to work with Patriot's
latest and greatest DDR3 memory, and will provide the most stability to hit
maximum performance,” said Les Henry, Director-Engineering, Patriot.
On the other hand, the company has introduced Tri-Channel Viper Series bundle
packs with Futuremark 3DMark Vantage software targeting the overclockers.
Patriot Memory and Futuremark have teamed up to offer PC enthusiasts and
overclockers the tools necessary to build the ultimate performance system.
Futuremark's 3DMark Vantage, offers consumers the chance to see how their system
performs and stacks up against worldwide contention.
“The emergence of the overclocking community over the past decade has made
software benchmarks, such as 3DMark Vantage, the foundation for enthusiasts to
measure their 'real-time' results, not just at a local level, but worldwide. We
are truly inspired to partner our memory products with such a leader in the
industry,” claimed Henry.
He also claimed that Patriot's commitment in the memory space has been once
again proved by the launch of XMP certified SODIMMS. Patriot's DDR3 SODIMM is
the latest in the family of memory which includes Intel's Extreme Memory
Profiles (XMP). XMP is a performance specification for DDR3 memory SPD settings
that act as an integrated 'plug-and-play' overclocking tool. The new Extreme
Memory Profile options allow the end-user to select extreme or ultimate
performance through a framework of pre-defined and validated optimizations of
individual settings without the hassle of manually adjusting each parameter, so
the timings, voltage, and speed boot automatically for maximum performance. This
enables a robust, profile-based, high performance DDR3 over-clocking solution
for Intel platforms targeted for enthusiasts, gamers and overclockers.
“The landscape of the notebook market has vastly changed, as notebooks are
closer to matching their desktop counterpart in performance. Patriot's DDR3 XMP-certified
SODIMMs are a true testament on how the PC enthusiast market has evolved over
the last few years. Casual users can not only benefit from one-click XMP
settings, but can now take high performance mobile,” said Benny Chea,
Applications Engineer, Patriot.
With the announcement of 'G' series DRAM memory kits, the company enhanced
its capability in the high-end gaming memory product space.
The other major announcements for Patriot were the launch of Corza, their
network storage server for the home and Convoy series Dual 3.5-inch HDD/SSD
enclosures. Page(s) 1
