10 years ago, I was part of a group of greenhorns who had joined CyberMedia India to start a new publication called DQ Channels India. Most of us had some journalism experience but were absolutely clueless about what channels meant. Some were even unsure what they were supposed to be doing in their new job roles.

But we were young and had the proverbial fire in the belly to learn about this intriguing 'channel' and what made this community go. We learned on the fly, making mistakes, charting success, but always keeping the partners as the core axis point of our publication.

Over time, we realized that the channel community was undergoing a subtle transformation and a new breed of partners were evolving-the solution providers. These were the folks, we believed, who would become an important cornerstone in the IT business.

With this realization we changed our publication's focus, tagline image, design and even its name. We dropped 'India' from the brand name to become just 'DQ Channels' and kept our tagline-Solutions for Solution Providers-in the crosshair of our eyesight.

Today, five years later, it is nice to see competition catching up and increasing their focus on solution providers, which is a vindication of the fact that we made the right move, years ago, when we started catering to the needs of this select community within the channel.

Over the years, we tried many new things to reflect the changing times and needs of our readers.

But, there were times when we did stumble and we humbly put up with the criticism with a resolve to better ourselves. We have always tried to be accessible to our readers, ask for their feedback and implemented their suggestions.

This is one of the few reasons why we have managed to reach this important milestone of completing 10 years of serving the channel community. It would not have been possible without the support of you, my dear reader, and I thank each and every one of you for having shared this journey with us.

A heartfelt thank you to all of you for making us the success we are today.
