4.Team Computers :Gearing For Higher Growth

Attaining high revenues and bagging large scale projects, Team Computers is now looking at further expanding its employee base

Crossing Rs 1,000 crore mark in turnover and improving customer experience by a strategic relaxed focus on execution and process excellence is the target that New Delhi-based Team Computers has set for itself. In addition, the company will also be looking forward to improve its shareholder experience by increasing profitability and net profit margin to 20 percent and return on net worth to 100 percent.

Some of the applications launched by Team this year include NaviQlik-a ready­made templated plug-and-play data analytics for Navision users. It also introduced Qlik2Collect, a set of applica­tions that help analytics for collection agencies. Yet another product from the Team stable was HR in a Box, which uses an engine that converts business rules into applica­tions without extensive coding to suit the HR practices of customers. Team also opened an office in the United States calling it Team Business Solutions LLC in 2007.

Projects undertaken by the company saw them implement business intelligence solutions that helped Canon's manage­ment in obtaining a unified view of their data coming from various data sources. It provided IT infrastructure, process auto­mation and information solut­ions to Fullerton. Team also went a step further to implement a comprehensive data analytics and reporting tool that helped Reliance Life Insurance analyze a vast data and penetrate into the profitable sources.

With 26 existing offices spreading across all the regions, Team Computers was able to earn 54 percent revenues from North region while 26 percent was the contribution from West. In addition, 16 percent came from South and four percent from the eastern region.

SME/SMB was the vertical that brought in the highest amount of business at 51 percent contribution with the services offered to this segment. IT/ITeS resulted in revenues close to 15 percent. Team Computers plans to expand their headcount massively and next fiscal will see the company hire close to 400 new employees depending upon their needs. Sales, marketing and tech support area will see maximum number of addition.

At present, the company has 101 employees for their marketing purpose, but in the next financial year it will be increased to 150. On the other hand, tech support area currently has only 388 people in board and this will soon be increased to 600. This in context of the projects the company is undertaking on a massive scale.
