24.Dreamquest Infotech :Slow And Steady

The company is increasing its focus on the services front and will concentrate on IT consultancy and new customer relations the year

Bangalore-based Dreamquest Infotech was one of the few companies in the Silver Club in the solution provider category that scored a single-digit growth of eight percent. The company registered revenues of Rs 66 crore in 2006-07, up from Rs 64 crore from the previous fiscal.

Continuing to bank on its business of selling IT hardware and peripherals, the company also bettered its focus on the services end. Interestingly, Dreamquest also wants to concentrate on IT consultancy, since they believe that opportunities in services and consultancy areas would help them grow better.

The company worked to grow all its business lines and also strengthened its operations at its branch office in Hyderabad to enable scaleable growth. As far as the year ahead is concerned, Dreamquest would look for betterment of its consultancy and service option for customers, while also concentrating on expansion in terms of product distribution.

While evaluating new customer relationships in the last fiscal, Dreamquest also worked to ensure that its standing with all its vendors only got better. The company works with corporates and government agencies. Some of its international clients include Texas Instruments, Cable and Wireless, Covansys, 3M, BEA Systems, etc. Its Indian client list has RMZ Corp, Wipro, Sinett Semiconductors, Hindustan Lever, etc.

The government agencies that Dreamquest has deployed solutions for are Bharat Electronics Ltd, Public Works Department, Antrix Corporation, Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Central Institute for Indian Languages, and Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Its next goal is to mark its place on the global technology map, over the next three years.
