6.Value Point Systems :Expansion On The Menu

A year of expansion for Value Point Systems, the company opened five new branch offices, while also increasing its headcount to almost 1,000 employees

Bangalore-based Value Point Systems concentrated on expanding its presence, both in India as well as abroad in 2006-07. As part of its geographic expansion strategy, the company opened offices in the US, Singapore and the Middle East. Within India, Value Point expanded to Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Kochi, Madurai, Vishakapatnam, Trichy, Coimbatore and Pune.

Last fiscal, the company posted a turnover of Rs 158 crore, up from Rs 111 crore, registering a growth of 30 percent. The company also obtained the ISO 9001 certification for sales and services, and acquired Knowledgeworks-a leading Indian language translation services company. Its 10-year successful relationship with HP was recognized and the company became HP's top value partner for APJ this FY 2006-07.

Value Point also received the 'Prince of India' Award from HP for FY 2006-07. While expanding into newer geographies, the company also grew in its manpower strength and currently has nearly 1,000 people working within the group. Of the total revenue of Rs 158 crore, IT/ITeS and SMB verticals seemed to be the major contributors last fiscal, followed closely by the education sector.

While furthering all its existing relationships, Value Point also forged relationships with Microsoft Dynamics, new ISVs and tied-up with many security solution companies last fiscal.
