ADITYA INFOTECH: On a reviving mode

Saturday, September 23, 2006

Close on the heels of capturing larger part of film editing and animation software market, Aditya Infotech is all set to become a big player in the audio-visual products market. The company has recuperated from its negative growth and registered 12 percent growth in last fiscal

After keeping a comparatively low profile for a couple of years Delhi-based Aditya Infotech is rolling up its sleeves to shed its inconspicuous image. During the year 2004-05, the company had registered negative growth when its revenue tumbled down by almost five percent but the distribution house managed to revive its turnover and achieve 12 percent growth.

The highlights of last year for the company were the introduction of Typhoon range of speakers and other components; the brand contributed Rs 25 crore last year. Aditya also tied-up with ATI, Sapphire, Omnitech and M-Audio. The company claims be a major player of graphic cards and animation software categories. Aditya is one of the biggest promoters of Autodesk animation products and ever since the principle has acquired its rival company Alias, the distribution house has captured almost 99 percent of the animation software market. The company supplies animation and editing products to most of the TV channels and animation studios across the country.

Highlights
  • Rated best APAC reseller for Autodesk in software
    and systems category

  • Best Partner for Pinnacle in Asia

  • Drove successfully in the market Pinnacle media center software

  • Strong player of animation and film editing domain

Giving full credit to its non-alignment with box pushing items Aditya emphasizes on value addition to the products it is driving in the market. Currently, IT accounts for only 40 percent of Aditya's revenue. The distribution house considers training a sacrosanct part of business and involves its internal staff as well as channel partners in regular training sessions. Aditya organizes at least one training program every fortnight at various locations to keep its channel abreast with the technology before they sell it in the market.

Of late Aditya has entered into audio products market with the introduction of M-Audio to its portfolio. The company is contemplating initiating a separate business unit to handle audio business. The distribution house is intending to take into its fold at least 25 people to drive the audio business while the company will also rope in channel partners at various locations to market audio products.

Present at 25 odd locations across the country this year Aditya is planning to initiate offices at four places namely Jammu, Coimbatore, Raipur and Ranchi. Also Aditya is extremely bullish on taking control of the home theater market through Typhoon products. Last year Aditya received Best Reseller award from Autodesk, while Pinnacle conferred Aditya with Best Reseller APAC honor.
