eSys: Moving one step ahead

Saturday, September 23, 2006

As its policy to move one step ahead of competition eSys is leaving no stone unturned to develop upcountry markets and expand reach at the locations where competitors have not yet approached. The distribution house is expecting to grow 100 percent yoy

Sys Information Technology is perhaps one of the youngest distribution houses in India that has overwhelmed big daddies of distribution game with its performance. Even as the company started its India operations in early 2000 eSys has achieved sizeable growth coupled with high credentials in the market in a brief span of time. In terms of rupee growth this Singapore-headquarter distribution house claims to have achieved stellar growth.

Highlights
  • Transformed from the status of regional distributor to national distributor for Acer brand.

  • Received IBM rookie award

  • Kicked off program christened 16-city initiative to expand reach in upcountry towns

  • Recognized as leading distributor for Samsung LCD monitors

Attributing the company's success to its philosophy of moving one step ahead of competition, eSys management gives full credit to its workforce for spearheading the company on the path to success. The organization's continued practice of departmentalizing people to head various product categories paid off well by enabling faster decision making within the company.

Innovative go-to-market strategies, channel friendly policies and forestalling officialdom to flourish within the organization are some of the factors that have allowed eSys to grow faster than competitors. The distributor claims to have entrenched itself strongly in upcountry cities as well. Banking on its national distribution capabilities, which are feasibly the strength of eSys, the company has entered into several new tie-ups during the last year.

The distribution house has also managed to metamorphose from the status of regional distributor of several leading brands to the national distributor. Last year eSys signed up with WeP Peripherals, Tally, ADC Krone, Acer, Polaris, Sun Microsystems, Xerox, Canon and many more as national distributor. During the months ensuing eSys is expected to add more products to its catalogue.

As the company progresses towards becoming a big player, the major challenge that the distribution house has to cope up with is to sustain top of the class support to its dealer partners and keep delivering value for vendors with which eSys has aligned itself. Deriving competencies from its global scale of operations and strong financial muscles eSys is well on track to meet these objectives. Currently, eSys operates through a network of 4,500 partners and the number is likely to grow further.
