l Focus towards security products and services helped carve a niche for itself
CHALLLENGES
l In security segment, needs to introduce products at a fast pace

Having identified anti-spam and security as a major business opportunity, Delhi-based Micro Clinic diversified its security portfolio, with the addition of anti-spam solutions. It has already started offering services and products from US-based companies like Spamstopper.com and Barracuda.

The company is working towards introducing a US-based company's automated voice systems in the Indian market. It has already fine-tuned the system with five languages – Hindi, English, Tamil, Marathi and Punjabi.

As the company increases its focus on areas like firewall, content filtering, intrusion detection and other security related areas, it plans to increase its presence from the present 17 locations to about 24 locations by March 2006. While its SI business was the largest contributor in revenue terms, security business was the key driver in terms of profitability. It also made some rapid strides in the government segment.
