Delhi-based reseller and systems integrator, Team Computers crossed the Rs
100 crore revenue mark during the 2004-05 year with 64% growth. It added eight
new locations, taking the total to 42 locations countrywide. The company also
received and executed its first overseas order. Talks for a foreign company's
investment into Team Computers are also on the anvil.
Team got into new tie-ups including Qliktech from Sweden for implementing
business intelligence software. It also expanded its print management solution
portfolio for enterprise output management.
Another alliance was with Consigntech for mobile data integration and
solutions like sales data consolidation. It tied up with EMC for enterprise
storage management and Raritan as well for remote collaboration and management
solutions like KVM
switches. Team also plunged into a relationship with Microsoft Business
Solutions and Ramco Systems for ERP implementations.
After recruiting about 170 people in the past fiscal, Team strengthened its
staff to over 1,000 employees. It conducted a series of training sessions
related to Microsoft, server and data center management, ITIL and service
delivery process and multiple product training. The company also trained its
employees on the inhouse ERP implementation from Navision.
Driven by training, it spent over Rs 15 lakh this fiscal. The solution
provider conducted a number of internal training programs for its employees
including soft skills, leadership, and recruitment methodology and customer
service attitude.
This year, the company created a state-of-art communications center for the
Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented a successful software project rollout
for Pepsico India. It also executed a challenging time-bound rollout of over
1,000 desktops spread over 100 locations countrywide for Hindustan Lever Limited
besides adopting and implementing ITIL-based managed services for large services
customers countrywide.
The company is also thinking of merging 'Team Serve', its service
delivering division that it started last year, under the Team Computers
umbrella. Its top management members have been charged with clear cut
responsibilities and with separate divisions in order to have more transparency,
accountability and immediate supports for its subordinates and employees. As
services are the core competency of the company, it earned Rs 14 crore from
services.
