Services brought in 41% of overall turnover, underlining its healthy business
practices.
With total revenue of Rs 204 crore, a growth of 14%, the last fiscal was a
fairly good year for Bangalore-based Network Solutions. This is one of the few
true-blooded partners whose 100% of business comes from solutions providing.
Services alone contributed to 41% of the overall business in the last fiscal.
The top three brands that contributed to revenues in the last fiscal were Cisco
(40%), AMP (6%) and Systimax (6%).
In the last fiscal, the company strengthened its business model of focused
service, which was driven by key investments in its professional services and IT
managed services divisions.
One of the key areas of focus was the Netsol Global Management Center (GMC)
in Bangalore. It offers Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) services to
marquee customers in India and abroad.
The company is also setting up another GMC in Chennai, which will also be a
disaster recovery site to the primary site in Bangalore. Complementing the RIM
services is its cutting edge IT infrastructure management products, including
SNAPPiMON coDesk and IPMeter.
In the last fiscal, Netsol tied up with Radware-a member of the RAD Group
that develop, manufacture and market solutions for diverse segments of the
networking and telecommunications industry. It also partnered with Corning,
which has customer-focused solutions and include cables, connectors, and related
hardware. The other tie-up was with Packeteer-a WAN Application Traffic
Management company.
Currently having employee strength of 1,482, Netsol added on 259 new members
in the last fiscal. It achieved certifications and trained 830 employees on
Cisco, Microsoft, HP in project management and process management. It invested
approximately Rs 1 crore in training/ certification.
Netsol became the first network integrator in the country to achieve the SEI
CMMi Level 3 certification. It other achievements included the IFMA Award for
the 'Best IT infrastructure and Maintenance Provider of the Year 2004'-
second year in a row, the DQ Channels Excellence Award for the 'Most
Successful Solution Provider' and also the GMC British Standard 7799
certification for its Global Management Center (GMC). It has been empanelled by
CERT-IN for Security Audits.
