Lalani Infotech dominated the eastern region not just with 25% growth, but also by bagging leading vendor names like Tata Indicom and Navtech. It also managed to get into the DQC Silver Club, for the very first time.

Ranked 28th in last year's DQ Channels Silver Club listing in the distribution category, Lalani Infotech managed to make its debut into the Silver Club this year. It achieved a revenue figure of Rs 75 crore in 2004-2005 against its revenue of Rs 60 crore the previous year, posting a growth of 25% compared to last year's growth rate of 7%.

Lead by KL Lalani, the company is touted to be one of the major distribution houses in Eastern India. And why not-with an array of vendors that include, HP-Compaq, IBM, Epson, TVSE, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, Intel, Wipro, Canon, APC, Cisco, Umax, Panasonic, Philips, AMD, Novell, Sony, D-Link, Acer, Seagate, Nokia, Surecom and TATA Indicom.

Lalani Infotech is also the exclusive distributor for Epson consumables and Navtech products in eastern India, HP Photo smart Printer in photo studio segment, Tata Indicom Telecom Products in Central Kolkata and HCL Computers in South Bengal.

2004–2005 proved to be a significant year for the company as its list of achievements for the said year is endless. It added two more products in this year- Tata Indicom and Navtech. It has done the highest number of sales in Eastern India for the products range of Epson and Navtech.

The company achieved significant growth in its disti and sub-disti business for several products in this fiscal in the region. It recorded 300% growth for accord EPABX; 177% growth in Epson consumables; 100% growth in Panasonic Fax, Canon and Lexmark consumables.

In the very first year of introduction, Lalani Infotech captured 25% market share of Navtech products in the region. Among its other achievements was the fact that it increased its HCL business in West Bengal by 100% and in South Bengal by 980%.

The year 2004-05 saw Lalani bagging several other feats and achievements. It received marks from Lexmark as best Diamond and Supply Partner for the said year. APC chose Lalani as their best SME SI and SMB partner of 2004-05. Philips and Wep nominated Lalani Infotech as Super Star partner of 2005 and Star DMP partner of 2004 respectively.

The company also received several awards in the said year. These include 'Best East Region' award from Epson; 'Supply Business Excellence' award from HP, 'Outstanding Performance' award from Asus as well as Channel Excellence award. Last but not the least, it was awarded Best Media Reseller and Joint Best Sub-Distributor award from The DQ Week.

For the coming year Lalani Infotech has set its target to grow mightier in its disti and sub-disti business and with its record of last year, the company is the one to be looked forward at.
