PC SOLUTIONS: Bullish On Enterprises
 
Delhi-based solution provider PC Solutions clocked Rs 65 crore in agency operations in 2003-04, registering a growth of 22%.

It started as a third party maintenance organization in 1989, but PC Solutions has grow to offering a plethora of services today. It strong focus on corporate customers helped it grow its revenues by 27% to touch Rs 65 crore in 2003-04. PC Solutions increased its headcount from 385 to 490 people last year.

Large enterprise were the major growth drivers for the company. The year also saw the company adding various product portfolios to its kitty and became a Citrix gold partner. It was also rated as best overall partner of HP. The company also tied up with EMC to distribute its servers range this year besides acting as a gold partner for Novell solutions.

The company offers customized support services, IT security planning and consultancy services and manages the IT infrastructure of 24x7 companies. It has six service centers across India to look after the service needs of its customers.

Among the major projects that it implemented was a Citrix access infrastructure solution implementation in two branches of American Express for 700 users. The entire project was valued at Rs 65 lakh. It also bagged the project for security implementation across Ranbaxy Worldwide, which was worth Rs 1 crore. This deployment is still underway.

PC Solutions also did several hardware implementation which brought in Rs 2.5 crore last fiscal. It also executed almost 17 small Veritas solution implementation projects, which brought in a sizeable revenue for the company.

This solution provider is entirely focused in the northern region of the country, which contributes more than 80% to the company's business. Although the company has support locations at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai, its Delhi office remains the core of its operations.

Apart from the usual hardware integration technology, the company has a major thrust on access infrastructure and backup solutions this year. It is also focusing on training and certification of its employees this year. This in in addition to the usual two days mandatory training of each employee each quarter that the company organized.

Although PC Solution likes to be known as a company independent of any specific vertical focus, it did well last fiscla in the ITES and BPO segments. For the first time, it added a storage vendor-EMC-to its kitty and is optimistic about this alliance.
