ADS closed its revenue at Rs 89 crore in 2003-04, 10% above the previous
fiscal's revenue of 81 crore. RFID and smart-card solutions are some of the
new business that Allied Digital Services (ADS) plans to explore in the coming
years, while continuing with its expertise in networking, storage and security
solutions.
Though the growth figure was not high, 2003-04 was full of excitement for the
company. ADS floated two new joint ventures during the year: Alam Digital with
Yemen-based company and Allied CNT with Sri Lanka-based CNT.
The company also moved in to a bigger office in an attempt to consolidate all
its offices in Mumbai. A proof of concept and network operated centers were also
created in the Mumbai office, with a clear roadmap to focus on next-generation
enterprise networking solutions.
With direct presence in 56 locations across the country and a work force of
1,200 employees, ADS is one of the biggest solutions providers of the country as
far as geographical reach and employees strength is concerned. It also extended
its presence in the SAARC region, Middle-East and Australia.
To efficiently manage all these branches, the company implemented a web-based
ERP this year. It also adapted the ITSM
service delivery methodology based on ITIL practices. The company is using this
methodology to get ahead of its competition in operational efficiency.
During the year, the company signed up many programs including the Microsoft
for its Assurance Circle Partner program, Security Synergy for complete security
management suite, Unisyst for their infrastructure services and Landesk for
their ITIL-certified helpdesk tools.
The company is planning to get in to RFID and smart-card solutions. To start
with, it will implement them on its existing customers.
One of the most challenging successes that ADS achieved during the years was
that of implementing an e-governance project for the Maharashtra government
deploying 220 servers.
